Breasclete

Scotland
Breasclete lies on Lewis's west coast, just 3km from the renowned Callanish Standing Stones. From Stornoway, take the A859 west for 20km, then follow minor roads north - about 25 minutes through typical Hebridean moorland. Most visitors combine this with Callanish and Carloway for a western Lewis circuit. The name comes from Old Norse "Breiðskáli," meaning "broad hall," echoing the area's millennium-old Viking connections.
