Bownham is a small Gloucestershire village just off the A46, minutes from Stroud and the M5 at Stonehouse. The A46 provides the main route north to Cheltenham or south toward Bath, whilst country lanes connect to nearby Cotswold villages. Electric vehicle drivers will find over 80 fast chargers in the Stroud area. The village sits on the edge of Woodchester Park, home to an extraordinary unfinished Victorian Gothic mansion that was mysteriously abandoned mid-construction in the 1870s.
