Bonehill, Devon

Bonehill lies deep within Dartmoor National Park, just a kilometre from Widecombe in the Moor's famous church. Reach it via the B3387 from Bovey Tracey, though the narrow moorland lanes demand careful driving. Popular routes include short drives to Haytor and Dartmeet for excellent walking. The settlement sits at around 300 metres elevation amongst classic granite tors and rolling hills. Widecombe's church tower, known as the "Cathedral of the Moor," rises 120 feet above the valley floor.
