Bodelwyddan lies along the A55 in Denbighshire's Vale of Clwyd, about three miles inland from the coast. The village sits on the main east-west route across North Wales, with Junction 25 providing direct access from both Chester (45 miles) and Bangor. Local connections include the A547 coastal road and routes to nearby St Asaph. The striking white limestone Bodelwyddan Castle, a Victorian remodeling of a medieval house, houses National Portrait Gallery exhibitions.
