Blue Town

Blue Town occupies the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, reached via the A249 Sheppey Crossing from Junction 5 of the M2. This former naval dockyard town sits where the Medway meets the Thames Estuary, connected by local roads to neighbouring Sheerness, Mile Town and Marine Town. The island's exposed position creates notably windy conditions year-round. The town retains its original 1860s naval grid street pattern among rows of former dockyard workers' terraces.
