Bloody Bridge lies on the A2 coastal road between Newcastle and Annalong in County Down, where the Mournes meet the Irish Sea. Most visitors arrive via Newcastle (5km north) or follow the scenic coastal route from Belfast. The area has good EV charging coverage with fast chargers in nearby towns. The settlement takes its name from the distinctive red sandstone bridge that carries the A2 over the mountain stream flowing from the Mournes to the sea.
