Blantyre lies just southeast of Glasgow in South Lanarkshire, easily reached via Junction 5 of the M74 motorway. The former mining town sits along the River Clyde, with the A724 running through its centre and connecting to surrounding communities like Hamilton and East Kilbride. The area has over 300 EV charging points nearby. Most notably, this is where explorer David Livingstone was born in 1813, with his birthplace now a museum beside the Clyde.
