Blackrock (Dundalk)

Blackrock is a seaside suburb just south of Dundalk on the County Louth coast, easily reached via the M1 motorway connecting Dublin and Belfast. The N1 runs through the area, providing quick access to Dundalk town center, while the R173 offers a more scenic route from the west through the countryside. The area serves as a handy stop for electric vehicles with over 40 fast charging stations in greater Dundalk, and attracts visitors to nearby golf courses and the Cooley Distillery. The standout feature is the beautifully preserved Victorian railway station from 1849, still operating on the Dublin-Belfast line and considered one of County Louth's finest examples of 19th-century railway architecture.
