Blackhills is a small Moray village reached via the B9103 from the A96 trunk road between Aberdeen and Inverness. The area sits amid fertile farmland just inland from the Moray Firth, with RAF Lossiemouth nearby and around 20 EV charging points in the vicinity. Many local fields still grow barley specifically for whisky production.
