Bishops Sutton is a Hampshire village just off the A31 between Winchester and Alton, popular with drivers heading to the South Downs. The B3046 connects it to New Alresford and the Watercress Line railway terminus. Set in the River Arle valley, it enjoys a sheltered microclimate perfect for the watercress beds that once thrived here. St. Nicholas church houses a 12th-century font carved with early depictions of watercress harvesting.
