Bergville

Bergville, tucked below the northern Drakensberg in KZN, is your turn-off point along the R74 if you're heading up Oliviershoek Pass or into Royal Natal National Park to see the Amphitheatre and Tugela Falls. Most locals nip through to Winterton (22 km) or Ladysmith (54 km) for supplies, while out-of-towners often arrive via the N3 through Ladysmith. Charging stations are thin on the ground here, so juice up before tackling the mountain roads.
