Benson, PA

Benson is a tiny Somerset County community of 157 people in Pennsylvania's Appalachian foothills. Reach it via Route 31, which connects east to Bedford and the Turnpike, or west from Somerset. Most traffic is local, though some use Route 31 as a scenic highway alternative. The John Murtha Johnstown Airport is about 30 miles northeast. The town sits along Laurel Hill Creek in a valley carved by generations of flowing water.
