Beddgelert

Wales

Beddgelert nestles in Snowdonia's heart where three valleys meet beneath Snowdon's peaks. The A498 runs through the village, connecting north to Pen-y-Pass and south to Porthmadog, whilst the A4085 approaches through the scenic Nantgwynant valley. Long-distance drivers typically use the A55 via Caernarfon or the A470 from the south. The village serves as an excellent base for mountain walks and offers over 30 EV charging points nearby. The place is famous for Gelert's grave, where a stone monument tells the poignant legend of Prince Llewelyn's faithful hound.
