Becconsall is a small farming village in West Lancashire, sitting between Tarleton and Hesketh Bank about 20 miles from Southport. Reach it via the A565 from either direction, or take Junction 27 off the M6 and head west through Tarleton. The village sits on rich agricultural land near the site of the former Martin Mere, Lancashire's largest lake until it was drained for farming in the 1700s.
