Bay Head is a small shore town at the northern tip of New Jersey's Barnegat Peninsula, where the Metedeconk River meets the Atlantic. Take the Garden State Parkway to Exit 91, then Route 35 south into town - it's about 70 miles from NYC. The area fills with visitors during summer but returns to its quiet character of 1,200 year-round residents in winter. The town operates one of New Jersey's last manually controlled drawbridges over the Metedeconk River.
