Bassett is a tiny farming community in Arkansas's Mississippi River Delta, accessible via State Highway 18 in the state's far eastern corner. The town sits about 15 miles east of Blytheville, where drivers can connect to Interstate 55 for longer trips to Memphis or Missouri. This agricultural area features flat Delta terrain with extensive rice and cotton fields. During fall migration season, the flooded rice fields around Bassett become temporary wetlands that draw massive flocks of ducks and geese.
