Barraglom

Barraglom perches on Lewis's Atlantic coast, reached via the A858 from Stornoway in about 45 minutes through classic Hebridean moorland. Most drivers combine visits here with the Callanish Stones and coastal touring routes, though locals use it for connections between the scattered crofting communities of Crùlabhig and Breaclete. The village overlooks the Uig Sands, where the famous Lewis chessmen were unearthed in 1831.
