Barnane sits along the N7 between Dublin and Limerick in County Tipperary, making it a handy stop for drivers crossing the country. The village lies about 15 kilometers from Templemore in the heart of the Golden Vale's farming country. Most folk arrive straight off the N7, though you can take the R433 from Borrisoleigh or wind through the back roads if you fancy. It's roughly 120 kilometers southwest of Dublin and well-positioned for Cork traffic coming up the M8. The old stone bridge carrying the main road over the local stream has been handling traffic since the 1800s and gives the place its character.
