Barling is a small Essex village near London Southend Airport, reached via the A127 from London or local roads from Rochford. It's popular for short trips to Southend-on-Sea's seafront and longer journeys along the A127 corridor. The village sits unusually close to both Great Wakering and Little Wakering, creating a rare cluster of similarly named settlements.
