Barcaldine is a small coastal village in Argyll positioned where Loch Creran meets the sea, served by the scenic A828 coastal road. Most visitors drive the 20km route from Oban, though the village also provides access to the wider Highlands via connections to the A82. The area offers approximately nine EV charging points and enjoys typical west coast conditions with frequent rainfall creating dramatic scenery. The village's centrepiece is the 16th-century Barcaldine Castle, known locally as the "Black Castle," which overlooks the loch.
