Bankhead, Aberdeen City

Bankhead lies in Aberdeen's northern suburbs, roughly halfway between the city centre and Aberdeen International Airport. The A96 provides the main connection, linking the area to central Aberdeen 8km south and forming part of the major route to Inverness. Most local journeys use the A947 through Bucksburn, whilst the A90 Western Peripheral Route offers an alternative approach. The area sits within the historic Bucksburn parish, where small burns once powered mills serving Aberdeen's growing population.
