Bancycapel is a small Carmarthenshire village six kilometres northeast of Carmarthen, reached via the A40 and country lanes. The area connects to nearby communities like Cwmffrwd and Pontantwn through a network of rural roads, whilst the M4 lies 30 kilometres southeast. Electric vehicle drivers can access roughly 50 fast chargers in the Carmarthen area. The village name translates as "hollow of the chapel."
