Ballymoney lies along the A26 between Belfast and the Causeway Coast, making it a handy stop for tourists heading north and a commuter base for those working in larger towns. The A44 connects eastward to Ballycastle, whilst local roads serve the surrounding farming communities. The town's Saturday livestock market has operated continuously since 1613 and remains one of Ulster's biggest cattle sales.
