Ballymahon

Ballymahon lies along the River Inny in County Longford, about 15 kilometres northeast of Athlone via the R392. This midlands market town connects easily to the main road network, with the M4 from Dublin leading to Athlone before the straightforward drive north. The N55 and N63 provide access from other directions, while the R397 links to nearby Edgeworthstown. You'll find charging stations around Athlone and two decent golf courses at Athlone and Glasson within easy reach. The town's claim to fame is being Oliver Goldsmith's childhood home, where he found inspiration for "The Deserted Village."
