Drivers reach it via M50 Junction 12 onto the R116 Ballyboden Road, or through Rathfarnham on the R137. The M50 gives quick access to Dublin Airport and the rest of the greater Dublin area. The area's claim to fame is its proximity to championship golf courses, particularly Powerscourt Golf Club, where the 18th hole provides one of Ireland's most photographed views with the Great Sugar Loaf mountain as backdrop.
