Ballyclare lies 25 kilometres northeast of Belfast in County Antrim, taking its name from the clear stream that runs through it. The A8 from Belfast and M2 connections make it easily accessible, with good links to Coleraine and other Antrim towns. About 15 public fast chargers serve electric vehicles in the area. The town sits in rolling farmland with decent routes toward the Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede, both under two hours away. The 16th-century Ballyclare Castle, a medieval tower house, marks the town centre and gives visitors a proper landmark when arriving by car.
