Ballachulish

Ballachulish straddles Loch Leven in the Highlands, linked by a bridge and positioned on the A82 Glasgow-to-Inverness route. It's the gateway to Glencoe, three miles east, with Fort William 15 miles south. The village was built around slate quarrying, and you can still see the dramatic terraced quarry cuts carved into the hillside.
