Bàgh a' Chàise lies on North Uist's eastern coast, reached via the A867 from Lochmaddy ferry terminal 16km south. The main road connects scattered Hebridean communities, with Lochportain 4km away and regular services to Skye and the mainland. About 5 fast EV chargers serve the area. The Gaelic name means "Bay of the Twist," describing the curved inlet that once sheltered local fishing boats.
