Badminton

Badminton is a small South Gloucestershire village near the Wiltshire border, famous as the birthplace of the racquet sport. Reach it via the A433 from Junction 18 of the M4, or take the A432 from Bristol through Chipping Sodbury. The village sits in gentle Cotswold countryside with Badminton House at its heart, where the Duke of Beaufort's guests first played the shuttlecock game in 1873.
