Austendike lies deep in Lincolnshire's fenland, reached via B-roads from the A16 at Spalding or the A151 through Holbeach. The village sits amongst typical fen drainage channels, with about 30 EV charging points available in nearby market towns. Most notable is its preserved wind pump, one of the county's last working examples of traditional fen drainage technology.
