Aughrim sits in the Avoca River valley, 80 kilometers south of Dublin, making it a handy base for exploring County Wicklow. The N11 from Dublin connects via the R752, while the R747 links through Rathdrum and the scenic R754 descends from Sally Gap in the mountains. The town offers good access to both Wicklow's peaks and coast within a short drive, with several golf courses nearby including Coollattin and Woodenbridge.
