Attymon

Attymon is a small County Galway settlement about 15 kilometres southeast of Galway city, easily reached via the N18 toward Limerick. The M18 motorway offers a faster alternative for longer journeys, while locals use the R458 and regional roads to reach nearby towns like Clarinbridge. The countryside features the typical stone walls and green fields of western Galway, dotted with ancient ring forts called raths - grass-covered circular earthworks that are over a thousand years old and still visible across the landscape.
