Athenry

Athenry lies 25 kilometres east of Galway city in County Galway, easily reached via the M6 motorway or the parallel N6 route. The town grew around its 13th-century castle and remains one of Ireland's few places where you can walk along substantial portions of the original medieval walls. It's become a popular spot for Galway commuters, with the city just 30 minutes away by car. The Dublin-Galway railway line stops here, and there are about 35 fast charging stations for electric vehicles scattered around town and along the main routes.
