Ashiesteel

Ashiesteel lies on the A72 in the Scottish Borders, roughly halfway between Peebles and Galashiels. It's a handy stop on the scenic Tweed valley route, popular with tourists heading between Edinburgh and the Borders towns. The area offers decent EV charging facilities, and the road stays open year-round despite the surrounding hills. Sir Walter Scott knew this stretch well from his time at nearby Abbotsford House.
