Ashcott

Ashcott sits on the Somerset Levels between the Mendip and Quantock Hills, about 15 miles from Wells. The A39 provides the main route, connecting north to the M5 at Burnham-on-Sea and south to Glastonbury. Local traffic dominates, though visitors pass through en route to Glastonbury or the coast. The All Saints church houses a rare medieval wooden effigy carved from a single oak.
