Armthorpe is a former mining village in South Yorkshire, just southeast of Doncaster. The A630 runs straight through the centre, connecting west to Doncaster and east to Junction 3 of the M18, making it handy for Sheffield, Leeds, and beyond. Local routes include Tranmoor Lane north to Cantley and the A638 as an alternative into Doncaster. The red-brick Miners' Welfare building remains the village's most recognisable landmark.
