Ardanstur

Ardanstur is a small coastal settlement in Argyll and Bute, perched on Loch Melfort's shores just off the A816. Drive north from Lochgilphead (25km) or south from Oban (30km) along this scenic route through classic Highland scenery. The name derives from Gaelic "Àird an Stiùir" - height of the rudder - marking where boats once sheltered from Atlantic storms.
