Apache, OK

Apache is a small farming town in southwestern Oklahoma, connected to the region by US Highway 62 running east-west and State Highway 19 heading north-south. Most visitors arrive via Highway 62 from Anadarko or continue west toward the Texas border. The town sits in rolling prairie country between the Wichita Mountains and Red River valley. Apache hosts an annual Rattlesnake Derby each April where locals compete to catch the biggest diamondback rattlesnakes.
