Anthon is a farming town of about 500 people in western Iowa, 30 miles northeast of Sioux City via Highway 31. The town sits in Woodbury County's agricultural heartland, surrounded by corn and soybean fields. Most visitors arrive from Sioux City, though US Highway 20 provides east-west access about 15 miles north. The historic grain elevator still towers over Main Street as a working reminder of the community's agricultural roots.
