Anoka sits where the Rum and Mississippi Rivers meet, about 20 miles northwest of Minneapolis via US Highway 10. The city serves as Anoka County's seat and connects easily to the metro via Highway 47 from the south and US 10 from Minneapolis or St. Cloud. Anoka claims the title "Halloween Capital of the World" for hosting America's oldest continuous Halloween parade since 1920.
