Ambrismore lies on the Isle of Bute, reached by CalMac ferry from Wemyss Bay then the A844 south through Rothesay. The island's mild maritime climate and sheltered position in the Firth of Clyde make it a popular escape from Glasgow, just an hour away including the 35-minute crossing. About 17 EV charging points serve the island. The Brisbane Centre on Bath Street houses the local library and acts as the community's social heart.
