Almer is a small Dorset village positioned along the A31 between Blandford Forum and Wimborne Minster. Most visitors arrive via the A31 from the M3/M27 network or through Blandford on the B3082. The village sits amid typical chalk downland countryside and serves as a convenient stopping point for journeys to the coast. Almer retains its traditional thatched post office, still operating from a 17th-century cottage.
