Alburtis is a small Lehigh County borough along Route 29, about 12 miles northwest of Allentown via Route 100. The main routes are Route 100 running north-south through the Lehigh Valley and Route 29 connecting local communities westward toward Kutztown. Most visitors arrive via I-78 and Route 100 for longer trips, while locals use Route 100 for Allentown commutes. The town features the restored Lock Ridge Furnace Museum, showcasing an 1800s iron furnace.
