Albee is a tiny farming community of four people in eastern South Dakota's Grant County, near the Minnesota border. Take Highway 12 west from Milbank (15 miles southeast) or follow I-94 from the Twin Cities to Highway 12. The settlement sits among rolling farmland and connects to nearby agricultural towns via rural roads. Its old post office closed years ago, leaving mainly farm buildings and grain storage as reminders of busier times.
