Ahmore lies on North Uist's Atlantic coast in the Outer Hebrides, reached via the A867 from Lochmaddy ferry terminal then local single-track roads. The settlement sits amongst the island's distinctive machair grasslands, which transform into spectacular wildflower meadows each summer.
