Adlestrop is a small Cotswolds village straddling the Gloucestershire-Oxfordshire border, famous for Edward Thomas's poem of the same name. The A436 provides the main access between Chipping Norton and Stow-on-the-Wold, with connections to the A44 and M40. The original railway station sign that inspired Thomas's poem now hangs in the village bus shelter.
