Abbeyknockmoy

Abbeyknockmoy lies about 30 kilometres northeast of Galway city in County Galway's countryside. The village sits along the N63, which runs from Galway toward Roscommon, making it easily accessible from both directions. From Dublin, take the M6 west to Athlone, then the N63 south for roughly 40 kilometres. The N17 through Tuam offers another route about 15 kilometres west. Around 20 fast chargers serve electric vehicles along the main routes. The 35-minute drive from Galway passes traditional stone walls and small farms. The village takes its name from the impressive ruins of a 12th-century Cistercian abbey, whose Gothic arches remain remarkably intact.
