Very cozy spot and nice and quiet. There were two pubs in walking distance down the hill. Very close to Altamont Gardens, which has got to be the best value ever for a few hours spent in nature.

Reddys, For Horse racing, Even doh the most of the staff could do with a person training course for greeting customers, they could take a few tips from the staff in the Talbot Hotel, and the Pub opposite them not to sure of the name of the bub/Dinn Ri for Food it was excellent, Similar to the Bub Opposite Reddys, The tall young Guy in Reddy's was great and service was super couldn't say the same about the rest of the staff, couldn't say the same about the dark hair girl!

Have been to Carlow before so knew what I wanted to see and do. Dinn Rí was the perfect location for me near to shops and very easy for meeting up with friends. The Cafe next to the reception had a lovely menu and good coffee. All staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful.

Ann could not be more helpful when our friend fell ill.
Ann could not be more helpful when our friend fell ill. Got paramedics in and she was taken to hospital. Allowed us to stay on to enable us to visit her. Did washing of nighties for our friend. In my opinion she went over and above to help us. Ann is a lovely lady.
Myself & my two Daughters booked two nights with Friends to celebrate my daughters Birthdays. We had a wonderful stay from the friendly staff to the comfortable Rooms, which were clean and tidy with sufficient space. The Restaurant was really nice with a lovely selection of food on the menu and the staff were extremely accommodating.Only an hour from Dublin and really close to Carlow Town, the Hotel offered everything we needed for our weekend away.Look forward to returning in the near future.
I couldn't recommend this hotel more. I travel a lot for work and the staff were the best I've ever come across in any hotel.
We were welcomed and made to feel at home right from the start.
The food is great we had dinner and breakfast and it was great food. Again the staff were so polite and cheerful and made it a lovely experience.
The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable and we couldn't hear any noise even though the hotel is so central.
Will be recommending to everyone
Loved everything the room was spotless, beds were so comfortable and the pillows so soft we had a great sleep.
The food was beautiful and service quick.
Breakfast selfservice and excellent
The rooms were off in sections and you could here a pin drop it was so quiet tg that's what I love.
Couldn't fault the hotel in any way.
Wonderful relaxing break away.
Deffs recommend and look forward to staying again. at some point
Lovely grounds to walk around also.
I can understand why this property was already rated very high. When I walked in the house and my room it appeared to be better than some ( star hotels I’ve stayed in. Everything you would want for a short or long stay.
Comfortable large room. Warm and very comfortable bed. Tea/coffee making facilities. Impeccable neatness and decor. Great en-suite with good shower and white soft towels.
I can’t think of anything negative to say. Just superb.
Personal touch, basic fresh food in the fridge which was very welcome, very comfortable and cosy bed, good shower, good location, quiet and secure. 30 second walk to the bar in the hotel.Pat and Yin are a delightful couple who went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable, including dropping us into town. The house is set 25 mins walk from town in grounds next to the Dolmen Hotel. The scenery was stunning as was the autumnal foliage.
Apartment was very clean, decorated to a very high standard and well equipped, location was very quiet and close to hotel where you could have a meal and a drink if desired.
The host's Pat and Yin were very friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable, little extras like cereal, milk, bread and eggs, tea and coffee all provided and not to forget the beautiful home made scones.
Would highly recommend.
From the moment we arrived, Pauline made us feel very welcome in her home. The house is located in the beautiful Carlow countryside and it's a real home. We spent our Friday night in front of a roaring fire in the lounge and rose to a lovely breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend.
A great property for a family stay in the Carlow region. Enough space for our family of five and having two bathrooms was a bonus. Bernadine was a fantastic host who went out of her way to ensure we had a great stay over the Christmas period. We enjoyed her scones on arrival.
The location was ideal for our needs. It was very convenient for attending events in the Seven Oaks Hotel, less than a 10 minute walk. We also really enjoyed the nearby Barrow Walk, and strolling around Carlow town. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious.
Great location, all mod cons and amenities, very comfy beds, and a great spread for breakfast. Annette, our host, couldn't have been nicer and she has some very cute dogs! Perfect off-venue accommodation option for weddings at nearby Lisnavagh House.
Parking was really easy in public lot just behind the hotel. Location was central and appealing. Room was lovely; modern and clean and quiet (no concert that night). Breakfast in the cafe across the court was bountiful.
